"How little does a promise mean if it was spoken by a broken person?"

As the French minister for magic decides not to abide the wishes of the notorious, brutal wizard calling himself the "Dark Lord", a rift appears in the most prestigious magical family of France. 
Finding herself lodged between the fronts, his daughter and heir of the family is sent to presumed safety in Britain, ushered to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
