The Evil Within short stories; trigger warning in advance for violence and swearing, as commonly found in the game.

"I need a drink." The detective quipped grimly, as he stepped over the mutilated corpse of one of the many Haunted within this warped version of Krimson City. Teeth gritted, Sebastian aimed his gun and kept alert- an icy sensation prickled his skin, and it was at that moment he was aware of being observed.

Like a lab rat.

"I doubt you will find one in here, detective." An emotionless voice called out to him- too close for comfort.

The Core was here; and they were face to face. What would come of it this time?

Stefano Valentini. A 25 year old serial killer in Krimson. Creative and charming. Confident and calm from his passion, but angry and scared from his secrets. Valeria Leone. A simple 24 year old girl who works at a coffee shop in Krimson as well as the opera house. Talented and humble. Loved by some from her kindness, but disliked by many from their jealousy. __________________________ "The sick bastard is finally dead. I don't know what made him think that he was an artist." Sebastian said as he sat down in the chair. "Maybe it wasn't a what. Perhaps it was a who." Tatiana replied before Sebastian gave her a key. "What kind of person would want to be near a monster?" Sebastian said. Tatiana was quiet for a second. "Everyone has a dark side detective. You, me, him. Everyone. Some have managed to fight it. Some have tried but failed. Others decide to embrace it." Tatiana said as she unlocked a locker and took out a few bullets. Sebastian sighed. "He must have really embraced it then." He said as Tatiana gave him the bullets. "No one has the power to fight it alone. Perhaps he lost the battle against his monster when he lost his ally." Tatiana replied as she started to draw on the board. "I doubt that he even tried to fight it." Sebastian said under his breath. "And you have detective?" Tatiana said as she looked back at him. Sebastian was quiet. He couldn't think of a reply. He knew that he never tried to stop his alcoholic habits. "Don't be so quick to judge people when you have just as much evil within yourself." Tatiana said before Sebastian got up. "There are many sides to one story detective. Next time, read them all before you judge." She finished as Sebastian started to walk away. She was right. As much as he didn't want to admit it, she was right. Perhaps he should know the whole story about Stefano. Perhaps he should know the story of a person and the meaning behind the art of a monster.

What if it came to the starkest of all choices: kill, or else suffer the loss of a loved one? Readers' comments: 'simply the best', 'one of the best books I've read', 'loved it', 'amazing', 'great reading', 'stumped me to the very end' and others Plot: When a pregnant doctor is brutally murdered in her own kitchen, the husband claims to have some weeks earlier received an anonymous and darkly menacing letter. For the small town of Ravensby, it's just the start of a living nightmare - one in which nobody is spared from the murderous cross hairs, and which will drive Detective Inspector Kubič to the edge of his own sanity... Genre: suspense/thriller Status: completed Length: 70,000 words (approx. 275 standard novel pages) Target readership: Though aimed primarily at adults, the novel features several teenage characters and so may also appeal to a younger audience Extract: "Warn you sir, not a pretty sight in there." Kubič took a deep, preparatory breath, his footsteps slow and leaden as he moved towards the kitchen door. Not for the first time over the years, he found himself wishing he'd chosen an entirely different sort of career. Paper-pushing, something out of doors. Anything at all. He'd always been reasonable enough at woodwork back at school, he recalled. Why hadn't he done that, he thought? Become a cabinet maker or some damn thing. A reluctant hand pushed open the door... "Oh dear Christ." The words escaped his mouth forcefully, involuntarily, like blood gushing from an open wound

(A ROBLOX PRESSURE READER INSERT FIC.) For reasons that still confuse you, you took the lives of nine people. In an attempt to cover your tracks, you inadvertently sentenced someone else to death. You moved on for nearly a decade. You finished college, found a good job, and even had built a circle of friends. Yes, there were still things you hadn't figured out-you still lived with your mom, for instance. It was almost enough to make you feel... happy. That was until the pounding knocks of the police shattered the illusion of peace, forcing you out of the house in cuffs. Your mother watched in horror as you confessed before the police could do so for you. "My baby, what have you done?"
