My mother learned to accept it, but others weren't so lucky. Like my best friend Harry, for example. When he told his parents they freaked out and tried to send him away, as if that would help. Ever since that day we aren't allowed to see each other, but what they don't know won't hurt them, right?
In most stories like this I would be introduced as the bad boy. The one who sneaks his girlfriend out of her house around midnight and returns her home around four a.m. But that's not the case.
