It is Emerson's first day as a medical intern at Shadow Lake Hospital in her hometown of Massachusetts. Having graduated top of her class from Yale Medical School, she feels confident that she is prepared and ready to begin her residency at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country.
The thing she is not prepared for is the constant scrutiny of her mentors and attendings as well as the fierce competition between her and the other interns. It will definitely prove to be more than she expected, but she has been trained to handle stressful situations.....her only job now is to prove to everyone that she can do it. Will she be given the chance or will she fall flat on her face under the massive amounts of pressure? Let's read and find out!!
