Audrey is just a normal girl. Or so she thinks. When a dream she had had for years develops into something bigger, she learns that she may be a nyshe, one of the humans that have special powers. And well, she has always been able to hear heartbeats, but that's not so special, is it? She also gets to know Max, a nyshe that claims to be her aenari - her nyshepartner. Audrey discovers that everything often is more than what it seems to be, even if you don't want it to be.
