Young Katrina has grown up in the Christian home for as long as she can remember. Life was perfect, she was close to God, had good friends, went to a private Christian school, and the best Church in the world.
But when her father has to migrate to a different building for work, Katrina's world is turned upside down. She lives next to a beat down, worn out city rummaging with crime, a school with very VERY low grade averages, no close Churches, and a neighborhood with a gang that comes and kidnaps whoever is closest to them on the streets.
In the midst of all the chaos, Katrina is also struggling with her faith. She "befriends" a girl in a gang, and is led away from her belief. But then she finds out she has done wrong, through a very tragic event, and has to help lead herself and her entire school to a better life and to lay themselves down for Jesus.
Barakah Amal had escaped Nigeria shortly after the misfortune of encountering Jalal Jali as a teenager. Years since past and unbeknownst to her, she's reluctantly summoned back to wed the man who had ruined her life to protect her family.
