When a young innocent girl runs into (literally) a pissed off stranger at her new school she makes a vow to herself to stay out of his way and lay low. The last thing she wants is attention. But after running into him that day in the hallway, she hit hard and fractured her rib. She's taken to the hospital by his best friend who warns her about him and his temper, but later that week she receives a knock on her door. It's the boy she vowed to avoid.
He shows up at her door with flowers and a small piece of paper. What she reads changes her opinions and she's in denial of her love for him. Now she must get through her junior year of high school figuring out what it truly means to love someone after you learn about their past, and the dangers that come along with it.
