At 20 years of age April was given the task to reestablish her fathers beloved contracting helicopter operation. In just two years by herself (and her cattle dog Sparrow) she's managed to renovate and innovate for a smooth reopening on a small country air strip that has been in her family for generations. Her sister (Luci - operations), younger by 18 months and her brother (Ryan - helicopter pilot), older by 2 years, are coming a long for the ride.

Her Dad, Ned Quinlan after loosing his wife is chasing his dream in the big city managing a major airport. He's hired the pilots, given them their start dates, given April the task to take over his old dream and make it her's.

Along the way a new pilot steps into her roster. He is young, smart and blunt. What will get to her first? The 84 hour weeks? The remote living? The responsibility? Or Malthe Anderson?
