Light Yagami, the owner of the death note, knows the FBI are catching onto him, as well as L. He joins them, in search of L's full name so he can finally get him out of the way. However, Light starts to notice his feelings for L..and when he does finally find out his name he can't bring himself to kill him. L suspects Light as Kira, but denies this due to his love for Light, seeing past his devilish domineer.
