(Grian, age 5) I looked around my house, mother was busy with my sister and my brother was busy with homework while I was bored. I didn't want to play with the other kids, they usually made fun of me and I didn't want to fly on my humming bird wings today, I was too tired. I looked around the corner of the house and found my father looking at the sunset. I bounded over to him, eager to play and get rid of my boredom.
He saw me and beckoned me over. "Why are you here, Grian?"
"Bored..." I replied simply.
"Why don't you go play with the other children?" father asked.
I eyed him, "They- what about-"
"Your wings?" my father finished for me, "It's a gift, Grian. Isn't it wonderful to fly?"
I nodded slightly.
"Then remember that, son, don't ever let it slip away." He beckoned me over and put an arm around me. "When you get older, your wild heart will live for younger days. And I'll always be there for you."
I nodded and looked at the sky, it turned to wonderful shades of colors.
"If you do enjoy that, you can leave this world behind, there's another world just for people like you..."
"Where is it?" I asked looking up at him.
He didn't answer that question and just looked at the setting sun, I looked too, the colors all looked like it came out from a painting. The sun bounced off of my humming bird wings, making it shimmer with different kinds of colors. I smiled, promising my father I won't forget what he told me. And I did, that's why I'm telling you this story.
