"Where are you off to?" I ask, immediately wishing I had kept my mouth shut. 
"Um.." She laughs a little and glances over her shoulder again. Her mother is looking around the crowd now.  
I lean forward a little and say just loud enough to be heard above the noise, "I won't tell." She turns back to me. "Cross my heart." I trace an 'X' on my chest with my pinkie. 
Idiot.
She laughs. 
My cheeks flush hot and I pray for mercy.

She's the love of his life and he might be just the answer she was looking for.
It's a story you know well, but hopefully with a little more depth, a little more love, and a whole lot of cute.

When she confronts her mother about it, her mother reveals to her that they are not human but in fact, Goddesses trapped inside human vessels to protect Kore from the Gods who want to marry her. But things only get worse when one day, as Kore is picking flowers in the meadow, there is an earthquake and she is taken up by this earthquake and falls into the arms of none other than Hades. Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone.
