She would regret this, Alpha Pearce swore to himself, she would regret running from him, tricking him, and lying to him. He would hunt her down to the last ends of the Earth, and then he would keep going because nothing was going to stop him this time. His mate was cunning and she might've been able to escape his grasp this time, but next time she would be chained and collared to his bed until she submitted. He closed his eyes as the soothing feel of bourbon burned its path down his throat. She would regret this, just like he regretted not marking her the second she tried to run away the first time. He grimaced at that thought, and then his grimace morphed into a scowl as he remembered their last moment together: She must've been molded by the hands of the moon goddess herself, because he had never seen such beauty in all his years as Alpha. He knew his mouth was open in shock, but he just couldn't believe she was finally in her human form in front of him. He took a step towards her, stopping when he saw the glimmer in her eyes. "Isn't this what you wanted Alpha?" She mocked him with the voice he had been dreaming to hear, "Here I am standing on two legs in the form you pack animals seem to prefer, but there you stand just staring." This comment earned her a glare, a glare which most rogues would be falling on their knees to, but instead she just smirked at him. "Goodbye Alpha" and he roared as she jumped out the open window leaving him tricked and tied to the bedpost. She would regret this. She would be on her knees begging for forgiveness after he caught her.
