~Summary~
Yami was tired of of being treated like he was a delicate gem in his kingdom. You see, he was the second child of King Sugoroku, meaning his older twin brother by a couple minutes, Yugi, was the heir of the throne. Therefore, he was treated like a jewel, made sure to be guarded at all times, and he hated that. All he wanted was to be treated like everyone else, not some fragile thing that needed to be protected at all times. One day, Yami snaps and runs away after an argument with his father. After an injury leaves him exposed in the dead of the night, a boy from a rivaling kingdom finds him and does the most unexpected thing.
He helps him.

Yugi, a young boy who was a servant for the royal family in Egypt, had stumbled upon the young prince with one of his teachers in the garden. Yugi was not allowed to befriend or speak with Atem unless asked or forced to. One day, Yugi was playing with some of the other servant kids until the young prince and his friend Mana were out in the field kicking some rocks. The young servant had not realized on how much he and the prince looked alike, the only 2 differences were that Yugi was way more paler and was not royal. Yugi had somehow gotten hurt, and this is where the relationship began. As his "friends" left him because they could not handle the crying, the caring prince and his friend rushed over to his aid. The servant just thought they'd help so none of their 'slaves' would be harmed and could continue working but that's not how Atem saw it. Later on things had happened to where the prince had ordered his father to keep Yugi in the palace, so the two grew up together until war began. For 3 years Atem had left.. Their friends which is also the new sets of High Priests that is also the Millenium Item holders can only sigh in defeat along with their parents and was wishing for a miracle to happen that Atem finally falls inlove and Yami to stop flirting and settle to one person only the big question is, will it happen?
