Gerard smiled slightly, taking a sip of his coffee. "What did Linds say?"
It took Frank a second to remember his train of thought but he got it quickly. "Yeah, uhm, she said you were super upset a- and I wanted to apologize again, I overreacted. I shouldn't be so sensitive, I know that, but I can't help it. So, again," he took a deep breath.
"How can I make it up to you?"
"You don't have to-"
"But I want to," he said, "please, Gee. I need to make it up to you or I'll always feel guilty. What can I do?"

Frank is a 19-year old in his second year of college and his life could honestly be better; his best friends are assholes, he doesn't have a girlfriend nor boyfriend, his classes are boring as fuck, and his anxiety also got worse again. Overall, everything is dull and boring, but he's content. He never wanted to have some adrenaline-filled life, he's more of a lazy, laid-back kind of guy.
All of that changes when a certain ex-boyfriend shows up at his college dorm.

It's not like I asked for this. I didn't ask. I didn't want this. But now there's nothing in this world that I could want more. Him, next to me. Smiling. Us sitting next to each other. Holding hands. Sequel to 'Don't look down' Please read the first book if you haven't already! We were all effected by what happened that night. Whether it's the burden of stress it left on your shoulders or the guilt that wears your soul, the impact is there; eating away at your insides while you sit there in excruciating frustration. Completely in the dark about if you're ever going to hear his voice again, his laugh, see his smile. How I feel is overwhelming in the most depressing way. I'd like to think that Gerard and Mikey have it worse; constantly arguing with themselves about whether it's their fault or not. They blame themselves, as always. I'm starting to wonder if this whole thing is going to drive us mad. I honestly think that what petrifies me the most is not knowing. It kills me inside. We can't afford to lose our friend. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary.
