Rumaysa feels lost. Hurt. Betrayed. The forgotten second child of the Dark Prince of the Nightly Flame Kingdom, she lives in a gilded cage like a prisoner, rarely allowed out.

Ihsan lives in Iylath, the country of Heavenly Ice. On his kindly grandfather's death, his father, the new Ruler, announces a war on his brother's House, the only force to rival his rule. 

Ihsan wants peace. He wishes he could silence the sound, all the turmoil around him. And he can, using the soul of Heavenly Frost entrusted to him. But his love for his wayward family stands firmly in the way, enough to thaw all his anger and ice, and unwittingly allow destruction to tear his family apart. 

He needs a flame, one from legend, that can remind his family of their fierce bond.
