Of Opium and Asphodel

London, 19th century. Set in a darker city where demons rule drug cartels and demonic blood bestows gifts, Cairn is a high class prostitute with the voice of an angel. Working at the infamous House of Asphodel, where most mortals with demon blood end up, Cairn is desperate to escape a curse laid upon him that drives him to kill each day.

Asmodeus the demon lord rules over the east end, and his reign is marked with fear and bloodshed. When Cairn approaches him for a deal, an ancient bond deeper than wedding vows instead is accidentally forged between Cairn and Asmodeus - one neither can survive without the other.

Now forced to remain at the side of the demon lord, Cairn sets about unweaving Asmodeus' drug cartel from within - but opium is the least of his challenges. His life, even his heart, must be laid on the line.
