Lilly Adler has been very successful in her life, always the perfect daughter, the perfect student, the perfect wife. She was even very successful in her career, working as a writer in a local magazine, which was what she dreamt from a very young age. 

But tragedy hits her, one after another, when her husband of six years walks out on her, and starts a new life with a new women. And she also loses her job shortly, as the magazine company closes. 

Jobless and alone in the small town, where the people start hating her for some reason, Lily decides it's time for her to move on, get a better job and a new life. 

Which was the main reason for her to move to the city, where she manages to get an apartment from an old friend of her father, ready to start a new journey, but this time, she was accompanied by a very annoying and super attractive roommate, who, for some reason, never leaves her alone.
