Every shifter will eventually find and bond to a person who compliments them in every sense for no other reason than a cruel twist of their reproductive biology. With little to no conscious decision as to who their "mate" will be, two shifters - two strangers - are forced together, their fates forever intertwined because of a chance encounter. To many, this is seen as a blessing, but to Willow, a so-called "soul-mate" is the farthest thing from her mind. Will the sparks fly or will the fists fly when she realizes that a member of the very species she resents so passionately is her mate? How can a Lupo ever be with a Volpe when all they see each other as are the harmful stereotypes of their species? The foxes they tend to have peace but due to their small size and not much strength they get killed easily by the others. And when I say others I mean The succubus and Incubus (who don't really kill them at first but likes to take them to enslave them) then the elves(they like to kill them for food) then the witches(who takes them for slavery or to kill or to use as a test subject for positions that either end in death or becoming a potion) then the vampires (always has fun hunting them down and either killing them or using them for a blood drive) and last but not least the wolves(who unlike the others usually have no reason to kill the small foxes except for food but they most likely do it for fun) But what would happen if the luna and alpha of the wolves want to make a peace contract with the foxes and ask if they could stay with them for 12 months to see how it would go and how would Strike do once he sets eyes on a small fox alone with no one by their side. Would he get to know them or will he ignore him like he plans to do with every one else Let's find out.
