Against the Tide: The Cursed Twins (On Hold)

Atua is the daughter of Kaitiaki and Waiata Olesami. Two passionate Marine Biologists who led simple lives, saving and conserving the ocean and coastlines all across the world. It's how her parents met, at sea. One tragic evening at sea, Atua's mother disappeared and when she wakes the next day to find her mother gone, it breaks her. From that day Atua swore she'd never visit the ocean again as much as it pained her, sometimes literally. After some time Kaitiaki manages to convince his daughter to join him in the water, and she finds her calling.

Pule and Tupu are the first ever born twins of the mermaid race. While most think it's a blessing for the king and queen, others think it's a curse that could destroy the kingdom. The children were cursed by a sea witch as retribution for the sins of their parents and the kingdom was never the same again because of it. Will Atua be able to save them both or will there be a never ending battle against the tide.
