Hermes Granger vowed to himself he would be the best in everything once he stepped foot in Hogwarts. He promised to himself that he would study diligently, finish his homework on time, and pass his exams with flying colors. However, after befriending Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, idiots who have a knack of getting themselves into trouble, Hermes knew studying in Hogwarts would be undoubtedly hard. It didn't help that Iris Malfoy - the snarky, Pureblood bigot - seemed to go out of her way just to torment the daylights off him. He just wanted to study, for Merlin's sake.

Iris Malfoy knew she was her father's biggest disappointment. Ever since then, she vowed to herself she would do whatever she can just to make him proud of her. It was all she'd ever wanted. But, stupid Harry Potter had to humiliate her in front of her peers by turning down her gracious offer for friendship. Since then, she made it a point to torment him and his best friends for the rest of her life in Hogwarts. And that, Hermes Granger - that frumpy, swotty, know-it-all Gryffindor prat - bested her in everything and she promised, right there and then, that she'd make his life a living hell.

Draco Malfoy: cold, distant, ignorant, rude, arrogant, and above all else, downright gorgeous. Juniper Hartley: caring, intelligent, unfathomably sweet, and above all else, downright gorgeous. As their paths cross unexpectedly and his mind bewildered with reasons he can't explain as to why he can't stop thinking about her, he's forced to examine the possibility of letting someone in, to sharing emotion with another person other than his thoughts. Dark times lie ahead in their future as Draco's family demands Death Eater, but his soul demands something, or someone, else. What lengths would you go to keep the person you love most safe? ________________________________________________ "I do believe such a place exists," he nodded, "and if we can't find it I would build you that white Tudor cottage with the stained glass windows, right on the edge of evergreen trees so that when the fog comes in the early morning, the air will be full of mist that carries their evergreen scent into that meadow full of flowers and grass." Draco spoke quietly and swiftly as if he could plan in his mind exactly how it would be, as if he could simply pick it up from his thoughts and place it in her hands so it could be her reality. It's been one year since Hermione had lost Ron. She's growing tired of friends and family treating her as if she could break at any second. All she wants to do is be there for her daughter, Rose. As life would have it, she gains a new friend, and maybe even a second chance at love. Draco has been a single parent for a while. He wants to be the best dad that he can be to Scorpius. His life has become even more complicated when he tries to help his new friend, his former boss, Hermione Jean Granger-Weasley. ~excerpt: How could Ginny do this to her? To her! They were supposed to be best friends, sisters even. A hand wrapped around her wrist. "Go away Ginny." She bit the words out. A low chuckle rumbled behind her. "Too bad I'm not the Potter." Why did he have to follow after her! "Go away, Malfoy." The hand dropped away from her wrist. "So, it's Malfoy again." The pain in his words brought Hermione to a halt. "Why did you follow after me?" She whispered without turning around. Draco chuckled and she could imagine him running his hand through his hair. "It's quite obvious why Ginny did this." Hermione turned around to look at him, stunned that he had called Ginny by her name. He brought his eyes to meet hers and laughed. "Apparently, not that obvious." He continued when she remained quiet. "She's playing matchmaker." Ginny was doing what! Hermione was going to have to have a long chat with her friend. "I'll tell her to stop." She said tersely. "Why?" Did he really just ask her why? He should be the one to know why, Hermione had told him the reason why they would never be together. Then she remembered his words from that day, he had told her that she was worth the wait. . . . . . . . Characters belong to J.K Rowling.

"Must be tough, everyone loves you, don't they? So goddamn perfect. They don't see it but I do, Potter. I can see straight through you." "And what do you see, Malfoy?" "That you're a mess, aren't you?" She stared at him, rivalling his own expressionless mask. "You're the first person to say that to me." "Well of course," he swung a leg, pacing around her lazily. "Everyone is too busy seeing the hero, but when you hate someone enough, you see their flaws, their weaknesses." Her mask fell and she smiled to herself. "So you hate me?" She said, playfully. "Of course, isn't that what we do, hate each other?" The smile grew enough for dimples to appear. "I guess so." "So yes, I hate you." "I hate you too," she smiled. Draco couldn't help it, his lips tugged slightly at the corners while laughter stayed restrained in his glimmering eyes. "Good, I'm glad that's established," Draco announced. "We hate each other." --------------------------- A miserable childhood of neglect, Harper Potter needed someone to teach her the ability to love in order to overcome the darkest wizard of all time. She just wasn't expecting that someone to be the guy who taunted her every quidditch match. Featuring. Female Harry x Draco
