Gerard hates living in New Jersey.
He can't stand the pathetic, depressing lifestyle he's holding on. Every day feels heavier for him so, instead of giving up, he decides to run away from everything that's weighing him down.
**A/N: this a frerard fic so probably get ready for some fluff, maybe smut and possible tw about certain topics (death, mental illnesses, ...) so if you're really sensitive read this at your own costs :)
This is my first fic ever and I'm from Spain so probably my grammar isn't going to be perfect.

The pair immediately hit it off, and begin their new lives together despite their many issues. - "Homophobic comments are not tolerated here," she pointed her nose in the air as she frowned down dramatically at Gerard. She crossed her arms aggressively causing her ponytail to sway behind her. "Listen kid, I'm the biggest fag in this place, so I'll make all the homophobic comments I like, 'kay?" Way sneered back, raising his eyebrows confrontationally and continuing to chew on the stirrer. She stared at him in disgust as Frank giggled, "It's true, he owns pink tools," he pointed out before she rolled her eyes and stomped away. "The color of the tools doesn't impede their ability to be tools- wait why are you digging around in the closet?" Gerard asked as he waved the stirrer around. His parents are loaded, he's got friends in all the right places and he has girls begging to hang off his arms. It's hard to live such a dangerous life, and when two members of rival groups fall in love, the things that happen to them and those around them are inevitable. I felt like I was in a bad dream and couldn't wake up, everything was spinning. My chest hurt from how hard my heart was thumping. This necklace, how in the world did it get here? I didn't take it back here with me, I left it on Frank's grave in Jersey. I discreetly pinched myself to see if I was dreaming, but I didn't wake up. This was real life. "Oh! That's mine, the string must've broken loose." I heard a voice. I saw feet at first. Yellow converse shoes. Then I saw pants. Black jeans. Then I saw a jacket. A green camo military jacket, not real obviously. Then I saw tattooed hands holding a coffee cup. They were red, most likely freshly washed. Then I met eyes with the person before me.
