Prince Alaric is a gentle soul. Pure, soft and too innocent for the aristrocatic world. His endearing innocence makes everyone fall in love with him. But he must learn to reign in his heart, for he is to take the reigns of the flourishing kingdom of Whales from his adoring, but sickly father. Even as he gets ready to take his rightful place as King, he remains aloof to the attentions of hundreds of men, women royals and nobles alike. For his heart belongs to someone else. Someone he could never indulge with, someone sworn to protect him from foes, someone sworn to always accompany him and see to his comfort, someone who is so close to him and yet, someone he could never have.

| ManxMan | - Historical Fiction - Strong SEXUAL Content | Tossed aside for his sexual preferences, a young lord is abandoned by his family. But, he isn't alone for long as a towering, rather intimidating and...handsome man happens upon him at the lowest point in his life. However, this man doesn't look upon him with judgment in his eyes. There is a sort of unspoken sympathy, and it shows itself well enough when he is swept off his feet and taken to the man's home. Untouched, unjudged and given a place to stay, this young lord will come to find he's been given a second chance. But he's afraid. Of what? (This story is based on a character introduced in 'The Beauty of Coincidence'. You don't need to read that one, but a piece of useful information would be that Edgar works for someone named Norman Ramsey, a man who has accepted that his own son is gay (he is not homophobic even though it's the 1820s, and Edgar is extremely loyal to the name of Ramsey). Enjoy!)
