noriko shion was a simple girl who'd never get in trouble and had a perfect sense of morality. other members of the shion clan however, definitely didn't.

a demon by the name of caine was sealed inside of her as a baby to keep the prophecy of fortune within their clan. caine was also known as a giver of bad luck, hence why he had to be sealed away. 

as a way to get at caine physically, noriko was constantly abused by every relative she had. they also spread rumors around the rest of the village on how 'cruel' she was, causing major resentment.

all she wanted was to be noticed without anger in their eyes, and she'd do whatever it takes.
