I rushed towards him, I didn't even think to dry the tears from the memory of the past, so I went to him and asked without looking him in the face.
"-Do you have a cigarette?"
He saw my tears in the darkness and asked me with a polite, British accent:
"-Are you alright?"
"No. Now please just give me a cigarette if you have any," I said rudely and looked him in the face.

I cupped her face in my hands, rubbing my thumbs in circles over her cheeks. She was having trouble finding words to describe what she felt, and I could relate. I loved her more than words could describe and telling her I loved her was almost an insult to my true feelings for her. My heart ached at just the thought of her not being with me. "Forever," I assured her and meaning it. We could live an entire lifetime or for eternity, and my love for her would never fade. It would only grow.
