The Cold Born

White hair. Thats how you know if you have the Cold. Seven and others like her are locked away from the world for being different. When she meets a strange boy, with the Cold like her- He may be her only chance to escape.

"My hair tickles my neck as I walk. I'll never get used to my hair being this long. It's only at my shoulder but I've had a shaved head my whole life- or used to have. My parents kept it as short as possible, easier to cover that way.
Cover the white. My hair is pure white. Everyone like me has it too. Everyone with The Cold.
The Cold.
I have The Cold, but I don't even know what that really means!
All I know is that we all have white hair and that the world thinks we're dangerous, so they lock up anyone suspected of The Cold and leave them to rot in cells like these. Forever. And kill anyone associated with them.
Like my parents."
