Kokichi started coughing. The room grew silent as the other Ultimates, who were investigating a murder, turned their attention to the smaller teen. He stopped his hacking, only to say "I'll be back in a sec" before abruptly turning and speed walking out the door. Two small, dark blue petals were left in his wake. This is a Hanihaki story between Kokichi and Shuichi. It will most definitely be shorter in length, so don't be too surprised, heh heh! I'm conflicted, so I will make a good ending and a bad ending (The bad one ending in death). This is my first fic actually, so I hope you enjoy! After the killing game ended, Shuichi woke up in the hospital. He was relieved to see that all of his friends were alive and they came to visit him, except for one - Kokichi. Shuichi asked his friends if they knew where Kokichi was, but nobody had any information. Sometime later, while adjusting to his new life, Shuichi came across a missing person poster and realized that Kokichi was the one who was missing. The police were unable to find him and Shuichi knew that Kokichi was in danger. He decided to work with Kirigiri as a detective to find Kokichi and ensure his safety. The question remained - could Shuichi solve the mystery of Kokichi's disappearance and find him alive? It's been about a year since the thirteen of them woke from the living hell that was the Killing Game. Ever since, they've been living together in a strange new world where their old memories are next to meaningless. Kokichi still feels the effects of the game a year later; although, he only has himself to blame for not being able to get past his guilt. Still, he hopes to be able to, one day, feel like he has earned his place among the others and maybe even feel like he can belong.
