This is the story of Maaya. She has a sweet, caring brother and adoring parents. The four of them are the epitome of the perfect family in the Upper East Side. Her parents' reputation proceeds them. So now the question is, is this a façade? Is this really a happy family? Does she really not have anything to worry about? Her life was never the same after one particular night back when she was 11, when she had the best life, an adorable little sister, a protective big brother, the best parents in the whole wide world. Little did she know that the peace she had in her life was peace like that of an ocean, before the storm. Going into her senior year, Maaya faces a new set of challenges.
