Percy Jackson is depressed and has succumbed to self destructive ways to release his frustration. Nobody notices a thing until Nico gets wind of his former crush drifting farther and farther away. Percy suddenly has new feelings for someone new, and he gets rejected by someone, but not who he thinks. He gets a quest and has to pick one other person from camp to go with him to rescue a friend. Percy gets cursed along the way and has to make it back to Camp to save a life. 

This story is about Percy self harming, and Nico helping him, there are mentions of dizziness, the feeling of starving, graphic self harm/injuries, blood, graphic thoughts of a person with depression, and probably something like psychological horror. If any of that makes you uncomfortable, don't read!!! I don't think I'm going to get any backlash for anything but if you comment, I'm probably not going to answer you! To the people who leave nice comments, I do read all of them and it is appreciated! this is my first published work, I just wanted to add something to this cool community and maybe live a little vicariously through the characters. So if any of this resonates with you, awesome, you're NEVER alone!!!!

What if Nico di Angelo wasn't saved in time? ... No, I'm not saying that he died or snapped. I'm saying, what if at ten years old he was taken by Dr Thorne? Trained with Luke, the best swordsman of his generation? Started hating the gods like Luke, changed into a ruthless killing machine? TW: Percico- I'm sorry, I had to add it in. However, this is going to be ruthlessly honest Percico- Nico going through his internalised homophobia, boundaries, stuff like that. They might break up horribly- it is a possibility, and truthfully very likely, if it actually happened. I'll just have to wait and see. Non-graphic descriptions of violence, emotional manipulation, internalised homophobia, a few instances of strong language- but not many, I promise. If you get triggered by that, DO NOT READ. This book does NOT contain: Slurs of any kind or any sexual scenes whatsoever. I modelled this book so things in it happen realistically- it may not be happy, but it is what it is. The dark-eyed son of Hades has caught his eye, he just doesn't know it yet. Not until he begins to cough up dark red petals and whole carnations. The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from unrequited love, where the patient's throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough up the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate. But a demigod's life is never easy, and with a new prophecy and a new quest even darker forces are looming over the horizon, threatening to destroy the sunshine that Nico and another half-blood we all thought was gone have finally found. Placed during very beginning of Blood of Olympus/ between House of Hades and Blood of Olympus at the beginning. Then it switches to the end of Blood of Olympus. This is a solangelo story line. If you have not read Blood of Olympus, or do not ship solangelo, then I kindly ask you to reconsider your life choices. And then go do those things. I tried to stay true to the characters, I really truly did. If you're reading and you think I did something wrong, please let me know (but. you know. kindly.).
