"Is there something you need to say, Azriel?" She studied him, and her eyes seemed to glow in the darkness. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her, too. 

Azriel could feel his heart pounding in his ears, his shadows tucking in tight, and his breath hitch in his throat, but he could do nothing to stop himself as he breathed out - "I'm your mate."

Though a semblance of peace had arrived, the war with Hybern had left a gaping wound in Prythian. The High Lords form alliances with far away fae territories, in an attempt to rebuild order within their world and establish peace. One by one, emissaries meet with the High Lords of Prythian, striking treaties and alliances. But when a new kingdom, that of the Syrens, come to them wanting a place amid their Treaty, only the High Lord and Lady of the Night Court decide to take a chance on them. 

Taken under the wing of the Night Court, the emissary of the Syrens, Brianna, must form coalitions within the seven courts of Prythian, earning the trust of its High Lords, developing unlikely friendships with the Inner Circle - especially with that of a certain shadowsinger, with whom she shares a most particular type of bond.

But there are secrets that people keep, secrets that, if revealed, could be the very undoing of Prythian. And as they grow close to one another, as they learn more about each other and of themselves, Azriel and Brianna will learn whether their secrets will bring them together, or tear them apart.

For people who haven't read ACOTAR, read at your own risk, but fair warning you might be just a tad bit confused. ALSO... STORY DESCRIPTION: Gwyneth Berdara has spent her last year still not being able to leave that gods-damned library. She wants to leave, but every time she is about to reach the outside world, she freezes and goes back to Sangravah. She tells herself that she is safe, she is in Velaris, but nothing works. She feels as if she's still stuck in the same place from when she entered the library two years ago. One incident makes her leave the Night Court and into another court. How will she react? Azriel was there in Sangravah, but he had arrived too late. Ever since the incident, Azriel has been slipping farther and farther away from his family. He doesn't know why the incident had been eating away at him, it wasn't his first time failing at his job. Azriel finds shocking news that he must keep from Gwyn. The plot line derives somewhat from the initial description. P.S. : I do not own this art, I just made it as my cover!
