Kara Danvers has always been under the shadow of a legacy. The legacy of her cousin. Though, she supposed that no one would have been mad if she had decided against becoming a cop. She knew she had to though, if not for her most basic instinct to help the people in the world, then to continue the legacy of her dead cousin, Kal. Her cousin was the best cop, back when he was a regular beat cop, he was known as Superman. Then as he got promoted for undercover work, he became known as Clark Kent. Either way, Kal had always been so close to her. He had saved her from heartache, and had rescued her after her family's death. So, yes. Kara had a legacy to uphold. But when Kal's killer, Lex, escapes prison to reign terror once more, can Kara stop him? Does she have what it takes to stop Lex and still keep herself?

Lena Luthor had grown up as another Luthor. After a lonely life battling the hatred of her mother and the love of her brother, she had learned much about her family. Still, nothing shocked her more than finding out about Lex's criminal activities. She had discovered his so called 'kingdom' by trying to find a book that he had in his room. What shocked her further was her mother supported her son's criminal activity. And so she became known as the black sheep of the family. The only one who wanted to do good. Growing up with the criminal mastermind put a large rift in the sibling's relationship. So when two cops knocked on her door asking about Lex, she was only surprised that it took them as long as it had. After several years, Lex had been caught and labeled Cop Killer. To the rest of the world, Lena no longer existed as her own person, rather an extension of the worst man alive. As he escapes once more, can he help a rookie catch him? Does she finally understand love in its purest form? Can she save the one she loves from not only Lex... but her own mind?

In other words, no power AU with Kara as a Cop and Lena as herself.
