A not cringe oc story put pre-steven, during the rebel wars.
Ruby Zoisite didn't know how she came into being- she just suddenly WAS. An agate and a Pearl were certainly frowned upon should they fuse, and yet here she was. The agate was broken- nearly shattered after a horrible run-in with one of the Crystal Gem troops. She clung to the little bit of life that she had left- fusing herself with her own pearl, just so she would live to see the next day. The trauma could prove to corrupt the poor Pearl, which leaves Zoisite an unstable of horrific creation of pure FEAR.
