Don't Look Down
Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank mostly spends his days depressed and alone. The occasional hurtful remarks from his fellow classmates and father wearing him down. Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide. Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he? Gerard will forever be known as the "cross dresser" and Frank will always be seen as "too good" for Gerard.

Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? I like to think I have improved on writing since this time and I really don't like this. So many regrets... [Complete] Frank Iero has been suffering from the 'incident' ever since it happened. What made it worse was that it was completely his fault. His mother notices his behaviour afterwards and sends him to a therpy group. He knows he can't be 'cured' because there was nothing to 'cure'. This was him, left with the faded memories of the 'incident'. Gerard Way had to move schools because of bullying. Of course, it wasn't exactly bullying if quart labled it as abuse. His arms are adorned in long sleeves at all times. His mother takes to this and sends him to therapy. Group Therapy.
