"I have a bracelet just like that! I was wondering Who the other half belonged to!" He exclaimed.

I smiled up at him, "Yea. This was the gift I gave you when it was our one year anniversary of dating."

He looked down at me confused, "What do you mean 'dating'." I looked up at him with shock written all over my face, did I really say that?!

I speed walked out of the door and sat on one of the couches that they have, trying to process what just slipped out of my mouth. I'm so stupid! We were actually making progress but I just had to go and screw it up!! UUUGGGGHH!!

It wasn't long after that Matt came and sat next to me. We sat in an awkward silence.

"Why did we break up?" He finally asked.

I looked up at him with tear filled eyes, but I refused to let them fall.

"We didn't."
