Midoriya Izuku was always bullied for his weak quirk, telekinesis. Sure, he could move small things around but that was all. After it was revealed he wanted to become a hero things just got worse. Izuku soon became apathetic towards people in general but especially towards his "friend", Bakugo Katsuki, who had decided from a young age it was his job to put Izuku in his place. The nickname Deku was just one of many ways to remind Izuku what he was, useless. At least that's what everyone thought.

Quirkless is a condition that is worse then hell. Izuku knew that one better than anyone else.
