I almost didn't comprehend all she said when the attacker sent a kick to her gut and caused her collapse to the floor in a heap. She wasn't moving and was soaked in blood. I watched in fear as the man wiped blood from his lip and turned to face me. He was only a few steps away from me when Isaac stepped in front of me; blocking me.
