President Unwanted

I gaze at Lairyn wandering towards me.

"Thank you so much, Mariella. You're the reason I have a boyfriend."

I chuckle and respond, "it's what I do."

It's true. It is what I do. I play cupid for Lincoln Hill High School. It's too bad I can't shoot myself with one of the arrows.

Mariella is student body president. Being student body president isn't as easy as it seems. It's basically against the rules to date Mariella. All the boys fear that if they date her and break up with her, chances are they'll be expelled. Girls think she's the nicest person alive, plus most of the girls come to her for love advice. Mariella can't seem to feel vulnerable in the field when it comes to herself. Boys just don't seem to think she's girlfriend material.

Garrett is your average bad boy. Gets in trouble, breaks girls hearts like he breaks a sweat, and has his own share life-scarring secrets. He moves to Townsend Harris High School, but nobody notices him, probably cause his body screams, 'scary!'

Mariella and Garrett have an immediate connection, but is a spark enough to keep the fire burning? Or will Mariella stay President Unwanted?
