Lola Sodipo (It's the year 1999)

I grew up without much and at 19, I have had to work for everything I have - an education, the few clothes on my back and the meals I can afford.

Yet, life feels unfair and I have to wage war against things that get in my way like my pervy Lecturer and the bunch of dreaded cultists in my school for instance.

However, I have fought all my life and I will win this battle. Still, I am not prepared for the battle against my own feelings when the dangerous, rich kid and resident Playa, Tokunbo Carew comes into the picture.

I don't know what to do when he insists on protecting me especially when I don't know how to protect myself from his charms. Yet, when the biggest battles of our lives come calling both of us have to decide what's worth saving. Even if it looks like we'd be crushed regardless of the choice(s) we make. ~ That '99 Love (Tomilola Coco Adeyemo)

CURRENTLY EDITING!! ~♡♡~ "Are there other vows you'd like to say to each other?" The priest asked. We both nodded simultaneously as we smiled. "I have to catch my breath to believe this is real-that I'm marrying my true love, my heart's desire. I promise to hold our love as an everlasting love. I promise to love you, to be your hearth, to keep a flame alive for you in my heart." I beamed widely as tears of joy flowed from my eyes. "I promise that my love for you will be an ever-flowing spring, never diminished, always sweet, and life-giving. Not just for this moment, not for an hour, day, or year, I will always love you, and most of all, I promise to be just for you." He concluded, lifted my veil, and kissed me even before the priest asked us to while the congregation screamed. ♡♡ Janette Williams is a typical shy, quiet, and introverted girl because of her overly protective and dictating father. *Could you ever love a broken person?* "I understand that you're broken," he said as he lifted her chin so she stared directly into his eyes. "But I want you to understand that it is my job to restore the happiness you lost. I am your husband now, Afrah. And it is my responsibility to make you happy. So that is my mission from now until the end of time." Afrah stared down at her hands, feeling as though her soul was being wrenched from her body. She couldn't look him in the eye. Not after what she had gone through. Not when she still saw the devil in his eyes. * It is said that the most painful wounds leave the deepest scars.
