Every day has been the same since I turned 6. Wake up, go to work, and try to survive. Just kidding. (Actually, not really. It is partially true, after all.) except instead of work, it's cheer. Not that I don't love it, because believe me, I do. It's just that I've had the same routine since 4th grade, never a change in my schedule. Except winning the world championships of all star cheerleading twice with my team, the Cheer Athletics Panthers, and once with my other team the Cheer Athletics Cheetahs. Every day I went through the motions, only concentrating on one thing: cheer. Let's just say I eat, sleep, and breathe cheer, to say the very least. But everything changed the night of August 24th, 2012.

"You just have no idea." His voice was thick with restraint. "W-what," I breathed. His gaze flicked to my lips as his thumb stroked again. The calloused pad against my soft flesh sent goosebumps down my arms. His once warm eyes were dark as they lifted and bared into my soul. "What you do to... men." His husky whisper weakened my knees. I almost fell but his other hand settled on my hip, pulling me closer to him. "What you do to me," he added on a breath. The hand on my jaw shifted. His fingers left trails of tingles as he slipped them back slowly, under my earlobe and into my curls. *************************************************** As a young girl, Charlotte Avery's favourite pass time was daydreaming about her Prince Charming: Archer Johnson. "The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life. You can't always see it, but you have to trust that it's out there somewhere. And when you can see it, it's all bright and shiny and overcomes the darkness." I paused, searching for the right words. "I don't know. I guess it's a reminder that there are good things out there, even if you can't see them... And it's cool to think that someone hundreds of miles away is staring at the exact same moon as you. It makes me feel not so alone in life." Turning my head, I saw him staring at me intently with a thoughtful look on his face. "Too deep for a Friday night?" I laughed nervously, feeling my face grow hot. And this was precisely why I didn't go to parties. He shook his head and seemed to snap out of his daze. "It was deep in a good way." *** SHE was quiet & left out. One day you're happy and then something happens and BAM! You're sad or in your element. I, Katherine Steen, have been through a lot in my last year of high school. A lot. I used to be invisible, but that all changed on that one fateful where I spoke to Mason Dallas and my life escalated from there. It wasn't easy talking to a wall that glares at you 24/7, but it's worth it in the end. Mason frikken Dallas has turned my life up-side-down and inside-out and for some forsaken reason, I thank him for it. --------------------------------------------- rankings: #smartgirl - #8 - 21/1/19 #newgirlinschool - #23 - 21/1/19 #nerdxbadboy - #45 - 21/1/19 #teenlife - #92 - 21/1/19 #newbie - #101 - 21/1/19
