Yesterday's Giant
At the time of Julius Caesar, a small sapling takes root in a shady valley in Northern California. The young tree continues to grow through a succession of tumultuous world events. The demise of the Roman Empire, the Crusades, the voyages of Christopher Columbus, two world wars, the birth of television and the internet all pass in time, as the special Redwood tree continues to grow to an astounding height of 375 feet. A seven year old girl trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a fairly small city in rural New Mexico. This is the third in my short story series taken from the universe created for my first book. Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? This story is unedited and first draft as keeping with my first two short stories posted to Instagram and therefore will not be polished or fixed with multiple drafts leading to an end product.
