Carson Walker is the quiet kid at school. He wasn't always quiet, but after a certain accident resulting in his parents death, he wouldn't talk. And when he did it wasn't very nice. But he had his Aunt and Uncle who loved him, and the guitar Carson's father gave him before the accident. He never needed, or more particularly wanted any friends. Ever. That is, until the new kid at school decides to start being friendly with him. Insert, Trey Fitzgerald, The new kid who automatically fits in. He's funny, cute, and a jock. Everyone loves and adores him imidiately. Except the kid he bumped into on the first day of school. Now, Trey was determined to get Carson's attention. And his adoration.

Quinn at 17 years old doesn't live with his parents. His parents kicked him out last year for coming out to them. He lives in the bad part of town and in a run down apartment that he pays for by working at the local mechanic shop. Walking home from work one night he finds a dirty and starving 3 year old boy who's parents died 6 months ago from drug overdoses. Quinn takes Justin home and raises him as his own son. Quinn plans on adopting Justin when he turns 18. The only person that knows about them is the older, widowed neighbor lady, Mrs. Preston, who watches Justin while Quinn works. Quinn and Mrs. Preston have a plan set in place in case someone questions Quinn and Justin's situation. A stranger moves into town bringing his 1967 Chevy Camaro to the garage Quinn works at. "Levon." Todd answered, voice hard. "Todd." Levon responded just as coolly. There was a pause. "Are you busy?" "I just got back from class," Todd said. "Waiting for Betto to get out of his lab so we can go for supper." "Nice." Levon wanted to punch himself. Todd just hummed in affirmation. Another pause as Levon tried to find a way to dispel the tension in the call. "Are you good?" Todd asked when Levon failed to form a sentence, and Levon realized how out of character it was for him to call Todd. There a was a layer of concern just under Todd's indifferent tone, and the protectiveness that seemed ever present in Todd when they were younger and Todd was always saving Levon from his problems. Levon's anger seemed to melt away at that familiar sense of security. "I'm good," Levon spoke finally and a soft smile spread over his lips. "Are you good?" "I'm good," Todd said gruffly. "Are we good?" Levon asked and Todd scoffed. "What we. There is no we. We're not friends." "Wouldn't want you as a friend anyway," Levon snickered. "You're kind of an asshole." John is the new kid, with everything that comes with that title; awkwardness, shyness, and attempts to make friends. Except all of this is made even worse with the fact that he's deaf. Dave is your stereotypical resident coolkid. Except he's not. He's a huge nerd, but most people find him intimidating, what with his shades and the fact that he doesn't talk to anyone. Or rather, that he can't talk to anyone, being mute. The two get paired together and form a close bond quite quickly, to the surprise of most of the school, but to none of their friends'. Reuben was overweight in middle school, but went to a fat camp and boarding school for two years. Reuben was bullied and teased most of his life, because of his weight. He finally made the decision go to a fat camp. When he lost all his weight, he is like a new different person, people treat him differently and he looks differently too. He is little more sociable now since he is more confident. So when he goes to high school he is really scared, because he finds out that Carson, the main guy who used to torment him is Mr. Popular and his in mostly all his classes. Reuben tries to avoid him as much as possible, but it seems Mr.Popular takes a liking to him.
