I turned, hackles raised as I stared at his wolf. Teeth bared, drooling muzzles, blood soaked fur, he already took some damage from fighting where I had none. This was who I was meant to be, I was meant to be a beast that turned into man. It was in my blood all along. So I snarled and leapt, whatever my fate may be, so be it. - Trees for miles surrounded the encampment, absolute isolation. Frigid temperatures and constant blizzards, extremes that had no inbetween except for a definite line defining them. Much to life inside this place, you either lived or you died. Warren lived out his days mining, living but you wouldn't call it existing. Day in day out, the same thing. Wolves howling, and waking up to dead escapees. A gulag wasn't a nice place, until he met a she wolf and their mine collapsed. Now on the run, being pursued both by officials and an old enemy. Warren and the she wolf must make somewhere safe, so they decide on one place: America. Facing their pasts and barely knowing their fate, they set on on a journey across continents to live a life where you exist.

Meridian has dedicated her life to the growth of her pack. When her mate mysteriously shows up in her life, things begin to seem perfect. That is, until unknown enemies threaten the stability of the pack she's worked so hard to build. Will she lose everything, or will her love truly be able to conquer all? "It's crazy, but I saw a wolf in the woods yesterday, and something told me I should follow it. I could, um, smell honey and coconut, and I followed that smell here. You probably think I'm insane," he mumbles, smiling sadly, "and you have guests, so I'll leave now." He must not be a wolf, because we can associate certain scents with friends and loved ones, and he seemed confused by the idea. But I can't deny the sparks we felt when we touched earlier, and before I can help it I'm calling to him. "Wait, please, come inside! I'm Meridian," I smile, holding out my hand. He smiles, saying, "I'm Malachi, nice to meet you," before shaking my hand, making goosebumps spread across my skin at the contact. Clearing my throat as I blush, I step aside and let him enter my home. If he's a human, this is the dumbest thing I've ever done."
