Brought to Earth by her mother, alongside her twin sister, at the young age of six, both Azar and Artemis train under SHIELD to become Earth's heroes.

At the age of 16, SHIELD is "compromised" by HYDRA resulting in Azar being kidnapped to be tortured and experimented on. Little did she know that she would find love, within her time being held captive, with the Winter Soldier.

Eventually rescued by her sister and SHIELD agents, Azar is forced to leave her first love behind, never to see or hear from him again.
