Light. The conqueror of darkness. So imposing that darkness hides behind objects in its presence. So imposing that darkness only roams when light slumbers.
No matter how bright the light, the darkness, however cowardly, will always exist. Being consequently stronger to deintensify the light's power. As life flourishes, it imitates that of what it's made of. Most show their light, while they bury the darkness within themselves in the presence of others' light. Equally, they expose their darkness in the presence of such.
Cultivating inside those who can't stand to mask their inner darkness any longer, they lash out, forcing their shadows on the light of others. Despair, anguish, fear, every cold emotion in them lashes outward.
Only those who shine the brightest light upon the darkness can vanquish these adverse emotions, subsiding their thirst to plunge deeper into darkness.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. Now it's up to me and only me, Izzy Quest, a freaked out teen from Brooklyn, to save my dying twin sister. You may have guessed by now, I'm not the save-the-day-sort--Bell is. She's the sweet, honest, dependable, pretty twin. Don't believe me? Ask my lunatic of a mother. "You look like Bell; try acting like her." If Bell had to save me, she'd be all organized with sticky notes and a compass. Me? What do I have but OCD, a short fuse and a cynical attitude. Oh, but I can run--fast.
