I grew up in the midst of luxury and corruption in a city called Santo.
A city divided in two. The North being mainly occupied by the wealthy, their million-dollar businesses and their self-righteous High School, while the South rot in its crime-infested streets, home of both the poor and the homeless.
From the day I was born, my life got tangled up in a never-ending cycle of lies, death and misfortune. Not that I knew, of course, until a lot later, when the Crisis hit the city, when the crime wave increased and we started celebrating The Galas every end of the year.
After that night, though, I never thought I'd be in a constant threat for my life. But I have been close to death before and fighting for my life and freedom became a priority the moment I found 'The List', met the Professor, joined the Rogues and sought for answers that would make me question my sanity and the integrity of humanity.
Watch me turn the tides around alongside seven crackheads and a drunkard. The Rogues, my friends. A group of no-bodies
My name is Raven. Raven Sørensen -and this is my story.
Adele knows she witnessed a murder - what she doesn't know is just how personal it is.
*****
A girl was brutally murdered in the basement of a sorority house in spring 2011. Adele Theroux thinks she saw the killer - and the killer definitely saw her. What she doesn't know is why this all happened and who this guy is. As she tries to solve the mystery from a distance while in witness protection, the connections keep getting weirder and more personal. Might she be able to relate to the killer in a way that no one else can? And what does that mean about her own psyche?
