Amahumo, a 14-year-old Japanese girl traveled to Nevada so her mother, Omaiyume, could cure her grandmother who is sick with bronchial cancer. Amahumo, having to take care of herself in Omaiyume and her's small apartment, will face challenges, difficult choices, and pass through stages of being responsible. She meets a boy, just a little bit older than her, named Fuyukaze, who lives just next door, will help her, and become something important to her. Will she be able to handle the load on her shoulders, or will she crumble under her stress?
