Our lips part after an eternity. I cling tight to his chest, refusing to let go. He pulls back slightly to rest his forehead on mine. I try to hold back the tears.
"Hey, it'll be ok." He tells me softly.
"Flight 471 to South Korea, Section A boarding now."
The tears can't be held back any longer. I sob into his chest and he squeezes me tighter.
"Please don't leave me, Kook. I can't do this. I can't be alone again."
He smoothes my hair and backs up to look me in the eyes.
"Hey, shhhhh, remember what we promised." He whispers.
"I love you." I choke out.
He kisses me hard and passionate for the last time, putting his all into it. When he pulls back, I see the tears threatening to spill out of his own eyes.
"I love you too, cheese."
And he's gone.
