Verne Macchiato graduated a year early from high-school and is now going to a college in a small town. He gets to know his dorm-mate and his friends better but he soon learns they're in big trouble.
Logan is still trying to get over Virgils death but it isn't easy and his new dorm-mate who seems like a happier version of him doesn't make it any better but he soon starts to get to know him better and finds himself going through a lot more than grief.

On top of having an overprotective family he has to navigate being the new kid in his senior year of high school, making friends, falling in love, and learning how to save a life.
