Jace's POV: "You're not in love with Jace! Stop saying that for Christ's sake!" Violet shouted. She pushed herself up off of the curb and threw her cigarette down, crushing it with the heel of her boot. "Please," her voice cracked. "Just don't make this harder than it needs to be." The green light from the dimly lit sign illuminated half of her face. Her bluntly cut hair grazed the top of her collarbones. I had flashbacks to only a few months ago. Everything had been so different. I wanted to reach out and touch her face, feel the smoothness of her skin again, even for just one last time. * Jace is quietly drifting through life. He's stuck behind his perfect brothers shadow and has his strict, successful and slightly psychopathic parents on his case 24/7. He has no passion for anything really. Until his life gets tangled with Violets. He's never met anyone like her and is in complete awe of everything she does, everything she represents. She's vibrant, spontaneous, and full of life, but like a fleeting star, she's hard to hold onto.
