It was 4:28am in the titans tower. The halls were quiet, the only noise being the occasional snore from one of the rooms. It seems like only yesterday when the all the team moved back in... well, almost all the team. Jason's whereabouts and online presences were still untraceable and nobody had heard from him in nearly a year.

At the end of the battle with Gaea, right after Octavian shoots himself at the Earth Mother, Nico realizes his mistake. He realizes that he just allowed Leo to be shot down. He realized he was about to get one of the seven killed. In a desperate attempt to save him and possibly not be hated, he manages to knock Leo off of his flight path and into the ocean. But at the last moment before he crashes as well he's pulled into the shadows. After that all he can remember is pain, he wakes up in a hospital in Gotham city with people crowding him, a billionaire trying to play hero and take care of him, and people constantly asking him questions.
