13-year-old Reyna Seaver was not ready for a lot of things. She was not ready for her Mirror to get possessed by the ghost of her mother's former friends. She did not expect the ghost to call for her, telling her it is her chance, whatever that means. 
When she screams, her parents wake up to see the shattered mirror. Reyna's parents don't take her story very well, but not in the way she would expect. Reyna's mother starts rambling, and her father is making her promise to ignore what the boy says. 
Reluctantly, Reyna Promises, but she soon breaks it during a study session/sleepover with her sister, Meredith, and her friend, Grace DiMare. 
It turns out, the mirror is hiding a key to changing the past. Wonder soon turns into realization when Reyna discovers just how dangerous the mirror can be for her and her sister and friend. one wrong move and there is no turning back.
